sew & tell - a pregnancy pillow!

First off, I have to say a BIG THANK YOU, to all of you for your support and kind words after my last post.  I was feeling really overwhelmed and seriously, you all helped me feel so much better.  Someone pointed out that the benefit of moving is that your blogging friends go with you!  YAY!  I'm so glad.  Thank you again, dear friends.

So, when I'm cramped for sewing time (or don't use my time wisely because I'm watching this), (but I was cleaning/organizing/prepping for the move while I was watching)(not that I'm trying to justify it....)

Okay, so when I get to Thursday and don't have anything ready for Sew & Tell I always try and find something in my to-do pile that will be quick!  Lately, as you may have noticed - clears throat - I have made a lot of pillows (and bags).  I'm like a two-trick pony!  I can't wait until I have a big project finished to show you (How about a baby?  I think I'm having her on a Thursday - just. in. time.).
Anyway, I had some scraps left over from my huge pillows that I made for my bed.  Just enough for two bolster pillows to match (but I only finished one because I ran out of stuffing.)!  Which will actually come in handy as I want to lay on my back, but I'm not supposed to - so I can use this little beauty to wedge me sort of on my side.
I really like body pillows, but they cause a lot of confrontation!  Our bed isn't big enough for the three of us!  (Not that it matters - I've developed a snoring problem and I often find my better half sleeping on the couch.  Poor guy.)  So this is a great solution.  I found out too I can use it to almost lay on my stomach (which I'm not supposed to be doing either).

While I was on a roll, I decided to make the last pillow (for now anyway) for my couch.  I bought the fabric and form a while ago and would rather move the pillow finished, than the fabric and form separate.  Is that odd?
I love the green and the polka dots!  And I think it looks great with the rest of my collection!
Yay for pillows!  Fast and easy!  You can find the tutorial for how I make them in my tutorials tab up there at the top of my blog.

If you are new or need a refresher for Sew & Tell guidelines you can click up there on that tab too.  Can't wait to see what you've been doing this week!

So jealous of the pillows on your couch. The one in my front room has the pillows that came with it. I'm in denial that we even have that couch. In my mind it's a beautiful couch.

On a different note - I hope you can sleep and breathe and all that other good stuff. :( Poor lady.

Just love the idea of sleeping in such a pretty bed with all those cushy, comfy pillows!

Baby on Thursday...hmmmmm...LOL

Amy, you're a dollbaby and so sweet! Pleasant and snoring free dreams for you and yours tonight!

No good snoring tips for you. Believe me, we could use some here!

Hi Amy! I love the pillows! I especially love the collection you have on your couch. You're inspiring me to make some for my couch.

I hope you have a great weekend!

I don't know how you are going to do it all but knowing you, I bet you can. Thank you to you and your husband for your sacrifices of service. The pillows are great. I will hopefully be linking to this but the project I have worked on is a gift for a shower on Sat. so I will wait to link until after the gift is given. I hope you have a blessed weekend.

Thanks again for offering this wonderful possibility of "Show and Tell". Your pillows look beautiful! And your story about moving left me breathless ... wow, that's a lot on your plate. Good thing is, in a year, you'll be laughing about it. And who knows - maybe you'll come over to Germany with the Army once in a while? Lots of members of my Guild over here are American Military Spouses - and we all have a lot of fun together!

:) It's a good thought, isn't it?

Love the pillows. I wonder if I can get my sister to make me some. Or I could break out that sewing machine and do it myself... maybe.

Amy, I am on awe every week that you post a project. I can't imagine getting so much done with little ones to care for and such.

Amy, I love all your pillows. I can't make one to save my life. Yours are gorgeous! I know what you mean about trying to come up with something quick to make at the last minute. Lately, I've been trying to come up with my Friday finish on Thursday evening. I went to bed last night with nothing finished. Just now posted mine....way down on the list ;-)

Sweet pillow Amy. I love making pillow too. Nothing like them for some quick sewing satisfaction. Just wanted to say good luck with everything that's happening in your life at the moment. As you say your bloging friends will be coming with you!

You must have nesting energy! Cool pillows & exciting news for you guys. In just a few months you will have a great story to share with your new friends--:) know that doesn't quite help right now.

Can I come sit on your couch! Those pillows look so comfy, and they are really just beautiful! (PS I like ponies!)

Pillows are so fun but I'm such an anal person I can't have them in my house. Between the dogs and the kids, I can't take them laying whichever way they were left. ;)

Good job with yours.

You can never have too many pillows. And the fabrics you choose are always beautiful. Don't be having that baby yet, if I remember correctly it's too early!

I need to get on a pillow kick like that :) I tossed a store bought pillow the other day after it was thown-up on :/ It didn't want to spin in my washer, and the fluff was running out.

I love your pillows, and hope you are feeling a little less overwhelmed!

My husband spent most of our last pregnancy on the couch. I did not mind at all! I got to spread out and keep my body pillow.

I always love your pillows and choice in fabric.

My husband said I used to snore something terrible too when I was pregnant. Oh well that's what we get from being human incubators. ;)

I hope you are less overwhelmed.

I love the pillows! I can't believe you're having that baby this week! It seriously seems like just last week that you were out here! Good luck with all! :)

That is great! I had a pillow affectionately named "wombie" that I wedged under my belly so I could sleep on my side. It saved my life.
