busy bee

I've been cleaning and organizing like a mad woman. My husband took everyone to grandma's and left me here to clean and organize uninterrupted. I should clarify that he was only acting on my request, they would have stayed if I'd let them! He took 3 sickies with him too.

But here's a few things I've done in the meantime. (again pictures via my instagram. I may or may not be addicted.)

Relocated the art wall (to the bathroom),

and hung up my pot and pan rack a la Julia Child!

Took all of this crap out of ...

...here, in order to purge, organize and refill.

Hung up my shelf with the hooks for my quilts a la Rachel.

And possibly my favorite idea, a $7 jewelry tray for all of my hair accessories!

I have more to share later this week!  Have you got the new year organizing urge too?  What's your current project?

I want to organize and sew. But you can't really do them both at the same time. At least I can't, because I make a mess while sewing that rarely gets cleaned up! So I'll have to choose . . .

The organizing bug hasn't hit me yet, but it needs to. I'm hoping it will hit me this weekend, we have house guest coming in a week. Have fun with your organizing. It always feels so good afterward. Happy New Year!

Oh that bug totally bit me between Christmas and new year and I completely redid my living room/sewing room, it feels SO much better now it's done :oD

I need to organize my bathroom counter and drawer. That divider is something I need to look for. Great work!

Fantastic! I just love organizing. My girls helped me take all of my "good" dishes out of the glass cabinets in the kitchen, wash them all, clean the shelves & doors, and return it all in a more organized fashion. Then I tackled the pantry and little bit of the attic. I'm on to paperwork now - revamping schedules, chore lists, etc. Happy New Year! Thanks for sharing!

We used to have an art wall, too, when my boys were younger. They don't bring home art projects anymore. I had three walls in my laundry room plastered with their construction paper and tempera paint masterpieces, from floor to ceiling, and we called it The Gallery.

Enjoy these days -- they grow up in a blink of an eye.

I am organizing too! I have a list but my craft room is the first to get done, I want to do a tiny bit of sewing while organizing :)
I LOVE your pot/pan rack idea! I need to do that!!!
